In the process of electrolytic polishing, the workpiece serves as the anode, connected to the positive terminal of a direct current power source, while materials that are resistant to electrolytic corrosion, such as stainless steel, act as the cathode, connected to the negative terminal of the power source. These two components are immersed at a certain distance in an electrolyte solution. Under suitable temperature, voltage, and current density conditions, and for a specific period (typically ranging from 30 seconds to 5minutes), the tiny protrusions on the surface of the workpiece dissolve first, gradually transforming into a smooth and shiny surface. This process meets the mirror-like surface requirements of many manufacturers. The electrolytic polishing process typically involves the following steps: degreasing, rinsing, electrolysis, rinsing, neutralization, rinsing, and drying.
